Welcome to the EGBA Online Breed Show 2024

Our online shows have proved very popular since we introduced them during the pandemic with both members and supporters of English goats, so the Association has agreed to hold another online show this year, incorporating as many of the suggestions made by our members as possible. Something good came out of the Covid Pandemic!

We’ve had an excellent response from our members who have given considerable time and effort taking some excellent pictures of their goats throughout the month of July (with the exception of Class 4 where timing is not important). Eighteen herds entered ninety five goats in total - that’s over 25% of our national stock. So, our classes this year include goats from throughout the UK - from the Highlands of Scotland down to the far reaches of Cornwall, into the valleys of Wales, and all the way over to the east of England. These goats would simply not be able to stand side by side in a real show ring, so our online show has the advantage of showcasing the unique markings of our English goats whilst every single one adheres to the breed standard.

Over the past few weeks our highly experienced judge, Vivienne Bennett, has been hard at work assessing all 95 goats and working out who are the winners - and why. The results are now in and her comments can be viewed in each class against the goats that have been lucky enough to gain a position.

You may either click on the Class Descriptions below or use the navigation bar to the left in order to travel to the individual classes where you can see all of the goats that have entered the Show in that particular class. The rules of the competition are shown at the bottom of this page.
