Twenty six young goats have been brought forward in this class for our judge to determine the near-impossible task of identifying those who merit rosettes. These young ladies are the future mothers of the English goat breed and all grades from A to E are represented here, demonstrating that regardless of grade they must all adhere to the Breed Standard.

The judge will be looking for compliance to the breed standard along with all the attributes that demonstrate a good goat - broad chest to house healthy lungs, space between the hind legs for an udder and good nipple size and placement to name but a few!

One of the charms of the English goat is the fact they are all individually marked, and so easily identifiable. What can’t be demonstrated so clearly here is they all have individual characters to match, but you might detect the goats that enjoyed being photographed and those that were having a bad day!
