Five goats have been brought forward for the adult wether class. At this age wethers make ideal pack and harness goats and are perfect for TV and film work as they are easier to train than females. Adult wethers are often found conservation grazing where breeding is not required (or desired). Some are simply kept as much-loved pets, making themselves useful by eating weeds, trimming hedges and helping to dispose of surplus vegetables, and giving much pleasure in today’s frenetic world.
